Since the launch of Face to Face: Up Close with Mother Nature three months ago, the book is receiving strong response from the US and the Caribbean, Australia, Southeast Asia and Europe.

Many readers have been kind enough to share their thoughts about Face to Face; among them:

WOW, what a great book, the pictures are fantastic, as well as the informative stories. I love it and so does Sherry. We will leave it out on our table at home, so all our friends can enjoy it too. Your photos are some of the best, as always, but most importantly is your writing. You have a way to pull one into the story. It not only is descriptive – like the bear story – but, wow, the feeling one gets with you and your daughter with whale sharks….

Your fantastic book arrived and what a joy! It literally took my breath away and tears poured as I turned each page. As for the “meat” of the book, your majestic photos, magnificent descriptions and diversity of subjects are awesome and inspiring. All my work stopped as I could not put it down till I had read each and every word. I cannot think of any other book I have seen that compares to this one.

You probably are not aware, but Mort and I did book reviews for many, many years and were media attending the American Booksellers big trade show, now called BookExpo. There we gathered, explored and reviewed hundreds of books over the years. Yours is the best we have seen. I would hope you are sending this off for some of the awards that are presented each year for outstanding new publications.

All in all, realize that I love your newest creation…

I expected something professional, really very professional, but wasn’t quite prepared for what I got!
Kudos – my friend – it is rare that I am surprised like this, but it makes every event just that much more special. Fantastic, wonderful job.

Some thoughts:
1. The book represents a very broad scope of nature experiences – it takes a lifetime to compile them – and it is extremely valuable BECAUSE it represents a life work.
2. While the diving is fantastic stuff, I would (and will) tell my friends to buy because it is one of the best coffee table books I’ve seen in a long time.
3. It immerses me in nature, not a niche, and that is important. Very important.

You really hit it out of the park with “Face To Face”.
